Two Pauls, One Show
Two Pauls, One Show
Chicago based Comedian Paul Farahvar delights audiences with his unique, quick witted dry humor, centered on being a practical but aging bachelor and former litigator. After quickly becoming a staple on the Chicago Comedy Scene for years at his home club Laugh Factory, he began touring, first as a feature for headliners like Demetri Martin and Gary Gulman, and later as a headliner. With no manager or agent, he managed to build a following in multiple cities, even selling out rooms in Chicago, Rockford, Denver, Milwaukee, Scottsdale, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa in the last few years. When not headlining, he traveled with Dusty Slay and Bret Ernst as their handpicked feature.
Paul Ollinger quit his job at Facebook to chase his comedy dream. (Don’t ever do that.) This highly unprofitable decision has nevertheless allowed him to headline top clubs, including Carolines on Broadway, Cobbs, and Zanies, as well as perform at the Hollywood Improv, the Comedy Cellar, and the 2024 New York Comedy Festival. Paul hosts the Reasonably Happy podcast, where he explores the intersection of money and happiness with some of the world’s most interesting people — from LL COOL J and Deepak Chopra to Judd Apatow, Nobel Prize winners, Heisman Trophy recipients, and Olympic gold medalists. He’s also the author of Reasonably Happy, a collection of thoughtful, funny, and sometimes touching essays drawn from more than 250 interviews. Paul lives in New York City with his wife, two teenagers, and French bulldogs, Theo and Colonel Tom Parker — none of whom respect his comedic boundaries.
