Etta May

 Etta May

The "Female Stand Up Comedian of the Year", and "Queen of Country Comedy"

What’s the best way to describe Etta May? “Minnie Pearl with a migraine.” To put it simply, when Etta May takes the stage, she is the reigning Queen of Southern Sass. She reflects “You know you’re getting fat when you sit in the bathtub and the water in the toilet rises!”

Etta May won the prestigious American Comedy Awards: “Stand-Up Comic of the Year,” and has appeared on Oprah, Comic Strip Live, MTV, and as a guest commentator on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

Etta May headlines the most successful all female “Southern Fried Chicks Tour”. Selling out theatres all over the country. Think Blue Collar Comedy Tour with better hair! Etta May is also a headline comic on CMT’s “CMT Comedy Stage” which is the second highest rated show in CMT history. The success of the Comedy Stage franchise led to the production of the Southern Fried Chicks Comedy Tour special as the first comedy concert series for the national cable network. She was also the subject and first female comic ever on the biography show, “Comedy Club.” She joins the elite comedy company of Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy, who are also featured in this series.

In addition to television, Etta May is a regular on the syndicated Bob & Tom radio show and a regular on XM and Sirius Radio’s comedy channels.

 G.R Goodwin and friends.

One of Chattanooga's favorite homegrown comedians, G.R. Goodwin is one of the hottest True Comics in the business today. His unique style has been described as, "Lots of energy, with little movement; intimately intimidating." A style that, to his audiences, feels more personal than performance. An inviting personality that will leave you feeling as if he was specifically taking to you. His universal appeal has allowed him to work with such comedy greats as D.C. Curry, Bobcat Goldthwait, Earthquake, Rodney Carrington, & Tracy Morgan.

Etta MayDon Friesen

Smart and savvy highly caffeinated clean  comedy

If you missed Don's hilarious Showtime one-hour Special, "Ask Your Mom," you've got to catch him Live!   Engaging, clever, and just flat-out funny, Don captures the irony of parenting, marriage and everyday absurdities through characters, voices, parodies and some of the best written routines around. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer says “Friesen will leave a lasting comic impression,” and describes him as “offbeat, satirical, self-deprecating and slightly out of control.”

As the only two-time winner in the 39-year history of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, Friesen ignites the stage with a playful, high-energy spoof of his life as a modern suburban dad trying to get through the day with a bit of money in the bank and a scrap of dignity intact.

He’s a wanna-be geek who constantly upgrades to the latest tech, but can never get it to work, leading to signature bits about tech support, Idiots Guides, texting and passwords.

Friesen's credits include Showtime, Live at Gotham, The Lewis Black Christmas Special, and Comics Unleashed. He was also featured in TBS’ “The Comedy Festival” in Las Vegas and is a wildly popular on KLOS’ 5:00 Funnies, 100.3 The Sound’s Laughter at 45 After, and XM Sirius satellite radio.
